Two months ago, Marvel shared a photo of an Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.-themed train for San Diego Comic-Con International that seemed to tease the arrival of Ghost Rider in the series. The train's promotional banner featured a flaming chain.
Many argued that it had nothing to do with the supernatural anti-hero. They believed Marvel was teasing a bigger role for Axle Whitehead's Inhuman version of Hellfire.
But according to Latino Review, Ghost Rider is indeed coming to Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 4! One of their sources claims that it's "officially a done deal".
And the rumor about the popular Marvel Comics character getting a standalone Netflix series, at least at this point, is not on the money.
The outlet also suggests that it won't be the Johnny Blaze version of Ghost Rider that appears in the upcoming Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season. It won't be the Danny Ketch version, either. Rather, they are going to introduce the Robbie Reyes version of the character from the Marvel NOW! reboot.
TV Line reported the same thing last month. They asserted that the ABC series was on its way to casting two characters - "a pair of Latino brothers". The description for the two characters strongly hinted that they are none other than Robbie and Gabe Reyes. The new report totally backs this rumor.
This might be the big Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. announcement that Marvel is going to make at SDCC, which has already kicked off. Even if they don't announce it, there's another way we might come across the truth.
The series has officially started production for its fourth season. So, we can really expect to be informed about what is going on soon. It's just a matter of time!
