RUMOR: Ant-Man and the Wasp to Introduce Bill Foster to the MCU!

Ant-Man and the Wasp reportedly introducing Bill Foster!

It appears that an iconic Marvel Comics character will make his Marvel Cinematic Universe debut in next year's Ant-Man and the Wasp. This character will join the lead characters, played by Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly.

That Hashtag Show reported that the new character may be Dr. Bill Foster. For those who aren't familiar with the name, Stan Lee and Don Heck created the character in the 1960s. He’s a brilliant biochemist who took up the mantles of Black Goliath, Giant Man (second), and Goliath (fourth).

The Ant-Man and the Wasp version of the character has been described as “a highly intelligent African-American male between 55-65.” According to THS, Marvel Studios has already expressed interest in an actor for the role, but his identity is still under wraps.

In the comic books, Hank Pym hired Bill Foster as his lab assistant, and he also helped him to fix an issue with his Giant-Man suit. If Foster is the new character in the July 6, 2018 release, they might introduce him as a former associate of Michael Douglas' Pym, who calls him to resolve some problems with the Pym Particles encountered by Rudd's Scott Lang in Captain America: Civil War. And maybe we won't see him become a superhero.

If not Bill Foster, the new Ant-Man and the Wasp character could be Dr. Adam Brashear!

But if Bill Foster isn’t the new character Bill Foster, THS speculated that he could be Dr. Adam Brashear, aka Blue Marvel. In addition to his superhuman abilities, the character is also known for his expertise in engineering and physics.

The Peyton Reed sequel will also introduce Randall Park as S.H.I.E.L.D. agent Jimmy Woo and Hannah John-Kamen as a mysterious key character who reportedly goes by the name of Dawn. Janet van Dyne and a character named Victoria, who’s Luis’ (Michael Peña) newfound love will also show up in the movie.
