Tara Strong teases the revival of original Teen Titans series!

The original Teen Titans series was cancelled over a decade ago, but actress Tara Strong (Raven) recently teased that there may be a glimmer of hope for a revival.

Teen Titans premiered on Cartoon Network in 2003, with the intent that it would have a four-season run. But the show was so popular that the network ordered a fifth season, and the TV movie Teen Titans: Trouble in Tokyo quickly followed. And now, a movie based on the CN’s spin-off Teen Titans Go! is scheduled for a summer 2018 release.

Even with all this activity, fans are still unhappy that previous iterations of Robin, Raven, Starfire, Cyborg, and Beast Boy have been overlooked. The good news is that, according to a tweet from Strong, the revival of the original Teen Titans series may still be in the works.

The 45-year-old Canadian-American actress added that CN might air a brand new Teen Titans series if the upcoming big-screen adaptation performs well at the box office. In response to a fan who questioned the veracity of her tweet, Strong asserted that she simply reported exactly what she’d heard.

In addition to Strong, the original Teen Titans series' cast roster included Scott Menville (Robin), Hynden Walch (Starfire), Khary Payton (Cyborg), and Greg Cipes (Beast Boy), all of whom reprised their voice roles in Teen Titans Go! To the Movies. Here’s the movie’s official synopsis:

A villain's maniacal plan for world domination sidetracks five teenage superheroes who dream of Hollywood stardom.
