No Mask for Baron Zemo in Civil War!

The core attraction of Captain America: Civil War is undoubtedly the epic clash between Team Cap and Team Iron Man. The secondary major attractions are the introduction of new superheroes like Tom Holland's Spider-Man and Chadwick Boseman's Black Panther to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. But a superhero movie has got to have one or more supervillains and Civil War won't be any exception!

The popular Marvel supervillain Baron Helmut Zemo - played by the Inglorious Bastard star Daniel Brühl – is going to be that super-baddie of the May 6, 2016 release. The supervillain with the infamous purple mask holds the 40th spot in IGN's list of 100 Greatest Comic Book Villain of All Time. I don't know if this is something to be disappointed or pleased about, but unlike his comic book counterpart, Daniel Brühl's version of Baron Zemo won't be wearing any mask in Civil War! That's what the German actor has confirmed to Business Insider recently!

Civil War's Zemo Loosely Connected to Comics!

Brühl insisted that the fans would be "˜surprised' (NOT SHOCKED) to watch his character in Civil War because it's "˜different' from what they expected. He also claimed that his character is "˜loosely connected' to the Baron Zemo we know from Marvel Comics. But he doesn't think that not staying true to the comics is something very inappropriate in the case of his character. He added:

"But that’s what I like about the Marvel guys, some of the characters and things they’re dealing with always reference to current events so my character is from a different area than you would think.

Baron Zemo May Return in Future in The MCU!

Most of the supervillains have had ONE-AND-DONE appearance in the MCU. Will Daniel Brühl's Baron Zemo share the same fate? Probably NOT! Because the 37 year old actor suggested that there's a "˜possibility' of the supervillain to return in any future installment of the biggest money making film franchise as that's the way the character has been "˜written'!

Would you have preferred a more comic true version of Baron Zemo in Civil War? Would you want to see the character return in future MCU flicks? Share via comments!
