In one lengthy interview, Chris Hemsworth talked about the role of Thor in Avengers: Age of Ultron. As know since The Dark World, the Asgardian has remained on Earth – and that is a good thing as the actor said, because now the character can really fulfill himself. Back on Asgard, he was supposed to act like royalty and nothing else – on Earth, he can do whatever a human is supposed to do. And that is how a character evolves, by mixing the thousands of years of experience of a demigod with the habits of an earthling.
But this isn’t all that Chris said about his character.
Thor’s battles
While we are excited to see how Thor goes toe to toe with Vision (and that will happen during an epic fight, as the actor says), our attention ha been captured by another epic fight.
As seen in the first Avengers, the Asgardian did have his moments with Iron Man (so to speak). In Age of Ultron, Chris Hemsworth says that these two will clash again, even more fiercely than before.
The Larger Universe
This isn’t all – the warrior that has battled across the 9 realms will now find himself against his most terrible foe: Ultron. The actor said that Thor himself will say, in the movie, that the fight against the evil AI cannot be won.
The actor also talked about the bigger picture – in our opinion, he actually suggested that we may have our fair share of hints towards what will happen in the MCU after age of Ultron.
As it is known…
Ultron is a piece of Chitauri technology. Even more, we know already that Loki will make an appearance, just like we know that Loki’s scepter has a role in the creation of the miracles.
So it isn’t hard to assume that Thanos will play a part during the events of Age of Ultron – even if he will remain unseen for the entire film. And this means that Age of Ultron will not only set the Civil War, but that will also lead to the events of Thor: Ragnarok.
