Easter-Eggs for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice - some Easter-Eggs

One of the most exciting things about superhero movies and their shared universes is how one relates to another - give us some awesome Easter-Eggs and we will talk for weeks about what they could mean.

Man of Steel had quite a few of them, hinting either at the presence of Lex Luthor, Bruce Wayne/Batman and even Supergirl (or, maybe, Doomsday - yes, this is a strong possibility). So it can be said that these Easter-Eggs have helped the DCMU to be established. But what can we expect from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice? What little details do we want to see in next year's movie?

Lex Luthor - running for presidency

Lex Luthor for President

This is one of the Easter-Eggs about which we are almost certain that will be shown. As it was revealed, Jesse Eisenberg's character will indeed have political influence over a lot of senators and congressmen. Is it so hard to believe that Luthor will eventually decide to take things a bit further and become the President of the USA? No, it isn't that hard, right?

And of course, if we would follow the comic book line, we would see that Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice could easily have a sequel called The World's Finest (which would lead, eventually, to seeing Darkseid on the silver screens).

Batman's contingency plans

Another of the Easter-Eggs that would get us excited is seeing how Batman's paranoia (as some would call it) leads to him having hidden records about the metahumans of Earth, files with their weaknesses and what would defeat them in a battle.

As we have recently found out (check it out in here), Superman (character which was already introduced on film in the current DCMU) isn't the only super-powered being. Lex Luthor himself has files about the existing meta-humans (including in here the AWESOME Aquaman). So if Lex has them, why wouldn't Batman have them too? There is no need for a Tower of Babel adaptation - but this is one of the Easter-Eggs which shouldn't be missed!

Amanda Waller

This might be surprising, but one of the Easter-Eggs we'd like to see concerns Amanda Waller, who in the comics served under Lex Luthor as a Secretary of Metahuman Affairs. Whether a World's Finest adaptation will happen or not, you do know what this small detail would mean - hinting at the much anticipated Suicide Squad!

First Justice League villain

Brainiac

Brainiac

Common - this is the one of the Easter-Eggs that shouldn't be missed! Of course, we mentioned Darkseid before - however, it would be a bit too early to have him pop in the DCMU (but, in any way, he is a must down the road!) So, maybe, we should have just a small hint at Brainiac (as he is rumoured to be the villain that unites the Justice League) or Brainiac (because, frankly, we would want to see him as the first major villain).

Oh, yeah, Kandor

Lastly, one of the coolest Easter-Eggs"¦

Jason Todd's Death

Jason Todd’s Death

"¦ would be making just a tiny reference at Jason Todd! How cool would that be? We know that Batman has been active for quite some time now and we know that the Joker exists in the DCMU, currently incarcerated. So why wouldn't we put 1 and 1 together and have Batman's eyes just catching a glimpse of a torn Robin suit?
