So you thought that Iron Man will be the villain of Captain America: Civil War? Well, if you thought so, then you are mistaken – Marvel has just released the synopsis for the third installment in the Captain America franchise.
In short, the synopsis does confirm that the Superhuman Registration Act is indeed the main reason of fight during Captain America: Civil War. However, at the same time, it does say that it isn’t Tony the one that comes with this idea.
Captain America: Civil War synopsis
But you can see all of these for yourself:
“Following the events of Age of Ultron, the collective governments of the world pass an act designed to regulate all superhuman activity. This polarizes opinion among the Avengers, causing two factions to side with Iron Man or Captain America, which causes an epic battle between former allies.” (via Comic Book Movie)
So, basically, there will be a chance in future Marvel films for Iron Man to attone – after all, the events of Captain America: Civil War won’t be his doing…
In Other News…
And this isn’t all the news about Captain America: Civil War. While the synopsis in itself doesn’t provide too many surprises (just one big one), a casting call has revealed that the production of the movie will begin much sooner than believed. Captain America: Civil War will be released on the 6th of May 2016 – so the most obvious thing to do was to believe that the shooting will begin sometime after May this year.
But it isn’t so, since the said casting call (made for Atlanta) said that the studio is searching for extras of all ethnicities for a shoot date marked April 1st. Now we know that this date is also known as fool’s day – however, this seems too legit: Captain America: Civil War will most likely change the MCU and, thus, really needs more production time than other Marvel films.
