Get ready, Batman fans because the Caped Crusader’s greatest video games are coming to the Nintendo Switch in October. The company made the announcement on social media with some brand new artwork by Christian Ward.

It was announced several weeks back that the games were coming to the Switch. However, at the time, Nintendo did not provide a release date – only that the trilogy would arrive in the fall. There is still no word on how much the trilogy will cost. Pre-orders have also not been opened up yet, as of this writing. The package will include all three Arkham games: Batman: Arkham Asylum, Batman: Arkham City and Batman: Arkham Knight. All of the DLC for the games will be included as well.

Here is the synopsis for the Batman: Arkham Trilogy.

“Become Gotham City’s ultimate protector across the iconic Batman: Arkham Trilogy. Face off against notorious DC Super-Villains: The Joker, Scarecrow, Poison Ivy, and more in Batman: Arkham Asylum. Step into the shadows of Batman: Arkham City’s open world, the new maximum security “home” for thugs, gangsters, and insane criminal masterminds. In Batman: Arkham Knight, tear through the streets of Gotham and take on the ultimate threat in the trilogy’s epic conclusion.”

This marks the first time that any of these games have been made available for the Switch. Nintendo first launched the console in March of 2017. Ever since, they have slowly been bringing classics from the previous console generations to the system. Better late than never. As for how long of a shelf life they will have on the Switch? That’s another question entirely.

There have been persistent rumors that Nintendo is looking to announce a next-generation console soon. The Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 have already been out for a couple of years. The Switch remains a wildly popular console, but Nintendo is a bit behind in some ways. That may be why Marvel’s Midnight Suns was canceled on the Switch. If a new console is announced, certain players may want to hold off on buying new Switch games until those details come our way. But, for now at least, nothing has been made official.

The Batman: Arkham Trilogy arrives for the Nintendo Switch On October 13.
