Star Trek Beyond makes a change in the world

If you are a fan of Star Trek you have surely heard about their charity contest. If you are not a fan, then you will probably be happy to hear about how the people involved in this movie chose to help nine remarkable causes. All thanks to the existence of Star Trek and Star Trek fans.

Each week, fans could sign up for a $10 tax to participate in a contest where the prize was visiting the set of Star Trek Beyond, spend time with the members of the cast and watch them shoot scenes.

The money gathered from the contest entries would go to nine remarkable causes chosen by the cast.
