The rumor that Hayden Christensen will return as Darth Vader in Star Wars: Episode VIII has taken over the Internet quickly. In the Star Wars prequel films, Hayden Christensen has portrayed Anakin Skywalker, a Force-sensitive Human male serving the Galactic Republic as a Jedi.

Anakin Skywalker is the Jedi who is supposed to later become Darth Vader, the Sith Lord serving the Galactic Empire. The coming back of the memorable villain of the big screen is now a possibility. Even if the prequels were not as popular as the original three movies, and Hayden Christensen was not really loved by all Star Wars fans, a coming back of Vader may add some excitement.

It all started when a source from Making Star Wars claimed that “A team in the U.K. are soon heading to the U.S. to begin training Hayden Christensen for a Star Wars: Episode VIII appearance of some sort.” .
Furthermore, they also seem to have stated that Darth Vader’s costume was brought on the set of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, which points out the return of the iconic sci-fi villain:
"The most I have heard at this juncture is that a fully operational Darth Vader chest piece along with the helmet made it to the creature shop for the next film. The lights on the chest piece work and everything. Here's where I get hesitant about it: There were not several of them, just one seen by a source and mentioned by another. I believe that part of the info is correct that a suit made it to the props area. Does that mean it is in the film? Not entirely."
Many publications only mention the first part, not the second one in which we are told that only one piece was seen, and usually, when filming, they must have several pieces of the same costume. So, the purpose of the costume is not known.

Benicio del Toro is a favorite of Disney Production
Back in the summer, The Wrap reported that Benicio Del Toro received a proposal to play the main villain in Star Wars: Episode VIII. Disney, the production company of the movie hasn't made any official statements.
Variety, the other source that revealed this information, also informed that the producers have met Joaquin Phoenix for this role too. This was happening two months ago.
Latest news confirmed Benicio Del Toro to be a part of the cast but after what ET reported, we are no longer sure if he is going to be the main villain. Del Toro about his character (via ET):
"I don't know if he's a villain. People are saying that, but it's like they read a different script than I read"¦ It's nice to keep people in the dark; a little bit of mystery is good. If they want to believe it's the villain, then good."

He might be seeing all from a different angle or his character is simply not that big of a villain. We are not that surprised that Disney chose him as he worked with them for Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy.
