While we knew that 20th Century Fox was planning an X-Force movie, we didn't know how far along the studio was with the production of the movie. During a recent interview with Fandango, director Bryan Singer revealed that a script is currently being written by Simon Kinberg, and that the plans for the X-Force film aren't just for a single outing for the team.
In other words, the X-Men: Apocalypse director said that at some point in the future, all of Fox's properties will meet on the big screen (that is X-Men, New Mutants, X-Force, and, obviously, Deadpool). Of course, according to him, this needs to be planned to perfection, so that the final product will be a big event and not a fail.
Talking about X-Force, Bryan Singer also said that he pitched an idea of a female Wolverine, a clone to take the place of Hugh Jackman after Wolverine III. So does that mean that X-23 is a certain thing now? Well, apparently she is. And, given the recently revealed post credits scene for X-Men: Apocalypse (here), we won't have to wait until the X-Force film (which hasn't received a release date) to see her.

One of the things we talk about in Days of Future Past – there's a scene where Hank/Beast talks about the immutability of time. Basically, you can change the way the future goes, but it finds its way back. So, while we don't show how it found its way back to Wolverine being part of Weapon X and under the thumb of Stryker, that's the idea (via CBM).
So, basically, X-Men: Apocalypse doesn't say what role Mystique had in the Weapon X program. She retrieved the mutant at the end of X-Men: Days of Future Past, right? Or was it some other shape shifter? Well, we'll wait for Apocalypse to be unleashed.
