Star Wars 8 is going to hit theaters in December 2017. Meanwhile, we are looking for both official and rumored details about the installment. One of them is an old rumor from Making Star Wars, speculating that Hayden Christensen will portray Anakin Skywalker in Episode 8, and that he would come back as a Force Ghost or a flashback. The reasons for the rumors were related to Christensen’s appearance on the set of Star Wars 8.
Speaking of Christensen, other rumors speculate that Darth Vader will appear in Gareth Edwards' Star Wars: Rogue One. And finally, the latest rumors inform us that an old and familiar Star Wars character might appear as a Force Ghost in Episode 8.
Kristian Harloff tweeted via Making Star Wars that we might see Obi Wan Kenobi in Star Wars 8 portrayed by no other than Ewan McGregor.
Grain of salt: hearing that Ewan Mcgregor in talks to play Obi Force ghost in Episode 8.

Ewan McGregor is always available for Star Wars
McGregor was a part of The Force Awakens, in which he voiced Obi Wan Kenobi. He tells us that it was so exciting for him:
I recorded a line for it. It was very late in the day. I had been waiting for the call to come for two years. It was like, “Maybe they've lost my agent's phone number or something.” And then I got a call just shortly before it was released by J.J. and he asked me to come in. He said, “I'd love for you to be a part of it and for you to be in it. And there's a sequence where we can use a voice, like we hear Obi-Wan Kenobi's voice coming from the distance reaches of the Force.” I was like, “Yeah! I'd love to be in it, I've just been waiting for your call.” And I went in, I was able to see some of it before anyone else had seen it. Very impressed. And then I recorded a line for it.
