Resident Evil is about to come to an end after more than a decade, with 5 movies already released based on the very successful video game franchise. During all this time, Resident Evil gathered fans that are thrilled for the upcoming Resident Evil The Final Chapter which will be released in 2017.
Besides revealing the plot, Screen Gems have also revealed the final cast for Resident Evil The Final Chapter. Some members, we already know, while others are brand new. As for surprises, there is at least one.
Who will play the heroine?
Being the heroic Alice in the previous five movies is quite an act of consistency. Who else but Milla Jovovich could have taken the role of Alice? I think that was obvious, unless something strange came up in the way of this.
Back in 2012 Milla Jovovich talked in an interview about how the role of each character changes with each movie, and how this is what appeals to the public:
"Every time we see Alice, it's like some different iteration of the same person," the 36-year-old actress said. "I think there's definitely been an evolution. It's not like we're repeating the same stuff over and over and regurgitating things over and over, so it keeps it fresh and keeps it interesting." Herocomplex
We expect this time Alice to be a "different iteration of the same person" and that keeps us excited about the next and probably last chapter of Resident Evil series.
