With the announcement of the Academy Awards nominations, we should have expected the nominations for the Golden Raspberry Awards to be made public, as well. And that’s exactly what happened - given the fact that the Razzies will be awarded the day before the Oscars, we now have a complete list of nominations!
And, not surprisingly for some of us, the most disappointing comic book movie of 2016 has managed to gather the most nods, including the most important ones (worst movie and worst actor). And yes, that movie is Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, with eight nominations.
On the other hand, Suicide Squad also appeared in quite a few categories on the Razzie shortlist. It got two nods, for worst supporting actor (obviously, Jared Leto) and worst screenplay (by David Ayer). To be noted, Suicide Squad was nominated for an Academy Award for best costumes and makeup"¦
As far as Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is concerned, maybe Ben Affleck shouldn't have been nominated for the worst actor award"¦But here’s the full list (Zoolander 2 managed to receive eight nominations, as well):
