The new Power Rangers movie is set to be released in March 2017. While it seems like a studio's pursuit of establishing a shared universe, there are quite a few fans out there who want this movie to succeed. Given the huge success the Power Rangers series had back in the day, the nostalgia is what will push the audiences toward seeing this movie.
Until now, we haven't had the chance to see any actual footage from the film. However, as the release date gets closer, we can expect the marketing campaign to kick in anytime soon. And the best time for that (and for a first Power Rangers clip) is the upcoming New York Comic Con in October.
Little is known about the movie. However, the villains are played by Hollywood A-listers Elizabeth Banks (as Rita Repulsa) and Bryan Cranston (as Zordon). And now we have huge posters with the Power Rangers and their Zords. Check them out below!
As said, we aren't sure why this movie is happening right now. However, these posters do look good, and we’re actually excited to see more official pics and eventually a trailer. But there’s still a long wait until then.
Besides the aforementioned stars, the Power Rangers will be portrayed by relatively unknown actors. Naomi Scott is the Pink Ranger, Becky Gomez is the Yellow Ranger, Ludi Lin is the Black Ranger, RJ Cyler is the Blue Ranger, and Dacre Montgomery is the Red Ranger.
The movie is directed by Dean Israelite. His biggest film to date is Project Almanac.
Power Rangers will be released on the 24th of March 2017.
