With the first Logan trailer waiting to drop any day now, we have confirmation that a couple of new characters will appear in the movie. The first was teased more recently, on the Instagram account wponx, and featured Boyd Holbrook with the hashtag Pierce.
Since then, the fans have suspected that he’s Donald Pierce, the leader of the Reavers, as well as the chief of security for Richard E. Grant's Dr. Zander Rice (the Transigen doctor who creates X-23). Now, via the same Instagram account, we have the confirmation that the Reavers will indeed appear in the film and will serve as the main antagonists of the movie.

Furthermore, new pics from the set reveal that Donald Pierce will have a bionic arm. The character is a cyborg in the comics.
On the other hand, Caliban will be portrayed by Stephen Merchant (The Office). The character appeared in X-Men: Apocalypse as well, but was portrayed by Tómas Lemarquis (Snowpiercer). Check out the first pics of the character below!

Of course, the change in the character is explainable, with X-Men: Apocalypse being set in the 1980s and Logan sometime in the twenty-first century (the rumors say that it will be 2024). The fact that the two actors who portrayed Caliban are about the same age could throw some casual viewers off track. But since even Deadpool mocked the X-Universe timeline"¦

Anyway, the rumor is that Caliban will be one of those who help Logan and Professor X. However, the mutant's main power is the ability to track other mutants, so he might as well be in the service of Transigen. Maybe we’ll find out which of these is true when the trailer drops.
