As it was revealed yesterday, the first trailer for Logan, the last installment in the Wolverine franchise, was classified, signaling that the clip’s release date was closing in. We guess nobody expected that it would be released today!
Over the past weeks, the Instagram account wponx has made a couple of reveals, such as who the main antagonists will be (the Reavers). Pics were also posted with various characters, including a pic of an aging and very weary Professor X. But there was nothing about the main character - so, besides the pics from the set, we didn't really know how Wolverine will look in the movie.
Yesterday, director James Mangold (who also directed Wolverine's last solo movie) posted a pic with Hugh Jackman in character. He looked very similar to Wolverine in the Old Man Logan storyline (we still have no idea how it will be adapted).

A couple of hours later, Hugh Jackman himself made the announcement via a brief six-second clip that Logan’s first trailer will debut today. Check it out below:

Impressed? Not really? Well, hopefully, Logan won't be black and white, even if there are quite a few fans out there who believe that a Sin City look would benefit the movie. And then there is also the whole God made it last too long line, which came out of nowhere. Literally. It isn't as if the movie character had this inclination towards religiosity in the previous films.
Anyway, we’re still very excited to see how this film looks. The R-rating sure has its appeal, especially since this would make Wolverine truer to the comics.
