Hellboy 3: Guillermo del Toro Launches Twitter Poll

Despite creating a fascinating world with his Hellboy movies, Guillermo del Toro never managed to finish his planned trilogy. Even with his numerous fans, the Pan's Labyrinth director didn't impress at the box office, barely making back the budget of the Hellboy flicks. From this point of view, it was understandable that the studio didn't want to greenlight a third (and final) installment in the franchise.

The director himself and the films’ star even campaigned for it to happen. But the last time we heard anything about it was when del Toro was still attached to direct the Pacific Rim sequel (the first one was again a disappointment at the box office). Nonetheless, he soon dropped out, and Steven S. DeKnight was named as his replacement in what became Pacific Rim: Uprising.
