The 2013 Disney movie made a gigantic 1.274 million USD box office collection overtaking Disney-Pixar project Toy Story 3 in the race of world's highest-grossing animated movie of all times. It also stands fifth in the list of biggest blockbusters of all time worldwide. The movie bagged Academy Award for Best Animated Feature while its "˜Let It Go' track won Academy Award for Best Original Song. After that huge success of Frozen, you must have been shocked to hear there's going to be no Frozen 2. Elsa voice cast Idina Menzel confirms recently that you have nothing to be shocked as the sequel is in progress.
Idina On Frozen 2 And The Broadway Show
When inquired on what she knew about the second installment, theater adaptation and short film, the Tony Award winning actress-singer-songwriter stated that they are "˜in the works'. Previously, Disney CEO Bob Iger admitted Frozen to be one their top five franchises but claimed that they will not mandate a sequel of Frozen. Iger revealed that they've planned for a Broadway stage musical adaptation of the movie. Later, Disney's plan for a six-minute short film named Frozen Fever for a spring 2015 release was also revealed.
Idina On Reprising Her Voice Act As Elsa
The 43 year old multi-talented celebrity expects to return in Frozen 2 reprising her voice appearance for the character Elsa. However, Idina doesn't think there are chances of her being involved in the Broadway stage musical adaptation.
