Perhaps not surprisingly, people are very excited to see a couple of Marvel movies this summer. Fandango recently conducted a survey to determine the most anticipated movies of the summer. Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness came out on top, with Thor: Love and Thunder not far behind. Check out the full list of the top ten.

Fandango’s Top Ten Most Anticipated Summer Movies

  1. Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (May 6)
  2. Thor: Love and Thunder (July 8)
  3. Jurassic World Dominion (June 10)
  4. Top Gun: Maverick (May 27)
  5. Minions: The Rise of Gru (July 1)
  6. Lightyear (June 17)
  7. Elvis (June 24)
  8. Nope (July 22)
  9. Bullet Train (July 29)
  10. Downton Abbey: A New Era (May 20)

This makes a great deal of sense. The MCU has been the most dominant force at the box office for more than a decade now. Not only that, but we’re coming off of Spider-Man: No Way Home, which is now one of the biggest movies of all time. That undoubtedly has helped fuel excitement for the Doctor Strange sequel. As for Thor: Love and Thunder, it is finally going to offer us a sequel to the fan-favorite Thor: Ragnarok.

Here is the synopsis for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

“In Marvel Studios’ ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness,’  the MCU unlocks the Multiverse and pushes its boundaries further than ever before. Journey into the unknown with Doctor Strange, who, with the help of mystical allies both old and new, traverses the mind-bending and dangerous alternate realities of the Multiverse to confront a mysterious new adversary.”

“As film fans head back to theaters, we are starting to see growing signs of recovery as we make the turn towards a great summer of movies ahead,” said Fandango VP Domestic Ticketing Melissa Heller. “Our study shows moviegoers are happier than ever to be back at the theater. With more in-theater releases on the horizon, film fans plan to see multiple movies in the cinema, enjoying all their favorite concessions throughout the summer season.”
