Cable and others

Fans have been waiting for so long for the powerful Cable to make his appearance on the big screens. Well, Deadpool was supposed to be his first outing – until the writers and the director decided against it. Why would they do that?

It is easy enough – Deadpool had to be on his own feet before welcoming such a big character. As far as we are concerned, this is an awesome move. A simple cameo (which could have seemed forced, by the way) wouldn’t have done justice to Cable. So, instead, the team is keeping him for the sequel.

And the sequel will happen – we have no doubt about that. According to Collider, the director was already preparing to shoot the post-credits scene back when they visited the set. We bet that it will be fun and that it will lead into the second part, which is rumored to be a full X-Force movie.

Some other characters which almost made it into the final script are Garrison Kane and Wire, which were ultimately dropped because of the budgetary issues – good thing we will have Colossus, though, for whom the producers had to fight a bit (since he is an X-Man and since changes needed to be made to Deadpool to accommodate him).
