Deadpool – Bridging the Gap

Deadpool

It has been a long struggle with Fox to bring Deadpool (the real one) on the big screens - and, given the huge fan base, Fox has finally green-light the film, with a scheduled release date for the 12th of February 2016.

Now we all know that this month is like a cemetery in which movie are released to die - but hope is not lost, since Deadpool will definitely have a small budget, so this may be just a trick of the studio: with this date set, this could mean that the low budget will pay off and bring bigger profits than otherwise.

Deadpool vs. Wade Wilson

It is very well known that Deadpool breaks the fourth wall - it is his thing. And it has been confirmed (as the Comic Con trailer showed) that the movie character will also do that. And if it is rumored that the Merc with a Mouth will mock the X-Men Origins: Wolverine version of himself sometime in the film, we can probably guess who will be the villain of the movie.

And the villains won't be the producers (as we all assume that Deadpool will be PG-13 instead of R rated as it should be), but Wade Wilson himself. It could be a neat trick to see the awesome Marvel character facing off against T-Ray, one of his comic book nemeses. T-Ray actually believes that he himself is Wade Wilson, while Deadpool's name is Jack and is responsible for the death of his wife and the stealing of his name.

Bridging the gap with the X-Men movies

But this could also mean that such as script will not get too much traction with the average moviegoers. That is why another mutant is rumored to be the villain for the Deadpool movie. Wildside is a mutant that can alter one's senses of reality - in a way, he is very confusing for his enemies. And we can see this working in the movie"¦

However, the stronger possibility is that Deadpool will face another Weapon X character - Ajax and even a clone of Wolverine could come into play"¦ Why we say that? Because the working name of the movie is His Old Favorite Band.

But then again"¦

Wildside was also a member of the Weapon X program, program which gave him techno-organic claws in addition to his natural powers.

In any way, we believe that we all agree that Deadpool should be R rated
