When the first trailer for X-Men: Days of Future Past appeared, everybody was there - however, just a couple of days later, Bryan Singer announced that some of the characters will end up on the cutting floor. And one of these characters was Rogue.
Of course, this was also the moment when all the fans started to believe that the director lost his touch and that his new X-Men movie won't be a hit. Add to this the Empire Magazine covers who presented all the mutants and which didn't achieve the success they were supposed to and you have the basics of a mediocre film.
However"¦
Rogue Cut
Soon after the release of X-Men: Days of Future Past and after everybody was convinced that it was the superhero movie of the year, the studio announced that the fans will see Rogue on the DVDs. However, it didn't happen so when the Blu-ray was released on the 14th of October.
As it seems, those scenes described an entire subplot for X-Men: Days of Future Past, so the studio had to carefully insert them back - how carefully? The most recent news says that the fans will finally see the Rogue Cut in the summer of 2015, although a precise release date hasn't been officially announced.
Blu-ray and Digital HD
The same announcement says that the Rogue Cut will be released both on Blu-ray and on Digital HD in the same day. Furthermore, besides this subplot, this new version will also contain distinct extras which were never seen before.
So, in other words, it will worth your money, even if you already purchased the theatrical version.
Rogue was played in all four X-Men movies by Anna Paquin, starting from 2000, when Bryan Singer released the first film. So what do you think? Will you by this new X-Men: Days of Future Past Blu-ray?
