DC's Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice has wrapped official filming, so how could Marvel lag behind? Perhaps, Marvel had taken seriously the possibility of such silly question to be coming their way! It seems so because they've also announced wrap of filming of one of their upcoming superhero ventures, the Ant-Man! This superhero might not be as popular as Batman or Superman in the comic world, but it's among the very first set of superheroes that Marvel planned of making movie with!
Payton Reed's Announcement: Words Reveal Excitement!
The director Payton Reed declares in the social media website Twitter that principal photography of the 31 July, 2015 release has been completed. Reed seemed to be pretty excited in his tweet. Usually Marvel does a good bit of reshoot in their post production session but the way "˜Bring It On' and "˜Down with Love' director narrated the wrap up, especially that the ants have left the building , appears as if there won't be much need of that and we might very soon get to watch the first trailer as well.
2006 To 2014: Long Journey From Planning To Execution!
As mentioned before, Ant-Man is one of the first superheroes that Marvel had planned to make a movie with. In 2006, Edgar Wright was provided the duty of writing and directing the movie. But pre-production had to wait until 2013 when Wright completed The World's End. Paul Rudd was announced playing the titular role along with some other casts in December, 2013, but, in May 2014, Wright left the project as there were major differences between him and Marvel over the creative direction of the movie. Then, Marvel appointed Reed as the director and filming could finally start on 19 August, 2014.
So, are you as excited as Reed? Or all your excitement went dead for such a long delay? Do share your views, guys!
