Archangel Wanted by Oscar Isaac in X-Men: Apocalypse

Archangel is one of Apocalypse's horsemen

Oscar Isaac seems to be everywhere nowadays - from Star Wars to comic book movies, he is taking everything he wants, and quite deservingly we might add. But this isn't all - being a fan of Apocalypse himself and having quite a few ideas as to how the character should be presented in the next X-Men extravaganza, the actor said that there is one other character he would like to see in the movie - and that character is Archangel.

Ben Foster is wanted for this role

Oscar Isaac said that he is a fan of Ben Foster and not just of Archangel and that is why he believes that the actor that previously played Angel is X-Men: Last Stand should return. Even if for just a few scenes, Ben Foster played the winged mutant in what the fans believe to be the worst X-Men movie. But the character does have his appeal.

In the comics, Apocalypse brainwashes Angel and augments him, transforming him into Archangel - one of the four horsemen. While as Angel he could just fly, after coming under Apocalypse's influence Archangel also develops a healing factor (much like Wolverine), becoming almost immune to any form of injury. Furthermore, he can use this ability in order to heal others.

Is it possible to see Archangel in X-Men: Apocalypse?

There are little to no chances, even if the character is best known as being one of the horsemen. Besides Oscar Isaac, no other actor or producer has ever mentioned this character.

Furthermore, if we take into account the fact that Ben Foster played Angel in X-Men: Last Stand and if we also keep in mind the fact that X-Men: Days of Future Past almost completely erased that timeline, it doesn't really makes sense bringing the same actor for the same character into the franchise again.

However, there is a stronger possibility (if it can be said so) to see Archangel played by a different actor.
