V

As a terrorist and freedom fighter in a dystopian future, V from V for Vendetta is an anti-hero in every aspect of the word. Though he is fighting against a cruel and brutal fascist regime, V is himself quite brutal and cruel stopping at nothing, and taking down whoever he has to, to get his way. V commits crimes, very unheroic, to further his cause which in the end is ultimately for the greater good. V’s motivation is also questionable at times as he was once hideously tortured by the same regime. As one of our iconic comic book movie anti-heroes, V stands out as one of the few with limited powers– though he is a fantastic fighter with a pretty disturbing Guy Fawkes mask.
