In a very recent interview, Hugh Jackman promised that "some stuff" on Wolverine 3 would arrive in the coming weeks. Well, some has already arrived! The actor has shared a photo via his official social media accounts to announce that the movie's official title is Logan! Yes, just LOGAN, not Wolverine: Logan or Old Man Logan! A one word title for his ONE LAST TIME as the clawed mutant…pretty cool!
The photo that the Aussie actor has shared is of a gigantic billboard bearing the first official poster for the March 3, 2017 release. The poster doesn't feature any faces but just two hands of two different persons. One of the hands surely belongs to Hugh Jackman's character - the claws leave us with no doubt about that. And Wolverine's hand is being held tight by a child's hand. Check out that photo below, along with the officially released international poster!
We have heard rumors about X-23, who eventually took up Wolverine’s mantle in the comics, appearing in Logan (just getting used to the new official title). And a kid in some of the photos leaked from the set seemed to be playing the part. Now, it seems like they are actually heading in that direction!
That's not all! James Mangold, the movie's director, has shared the second page from the screenplay via his official Twitter account. It has already been announced that Logan will be R-rated, unlike most of the X-Men Universe installments, and this page makes us realize why they need that rating right from the word go. Not only is the very first word from Jackman's character "F*ck", but the action sequences are suggested to be really brutal! You can check it out below!
