We already know that the Tom Holland's new Spider-Man will debut on Captain America: Civil War before heading towards the Jon Watts-directed standalone that releases on 28 July, 2017. Even though we know nothing about the storyline, most of us are still happy because we will get to see Spidey for the first time on live-action sharing screens with other Marvel superheroes.
That's also what the Marvel President Kevin Feige believes as he states in a recent interview with Zap2it:
“The biggest thing … is that it takes place in this universe. It’s the first time that you’ll be able to see Spider-Man like he was in the comics, as a very different type of hero when compared to the other heroes in the universe.”
Kevin claims that the Spider-Man movies till date have always presented the web-slinger as "˜the only hero', but in the MCU, he isn't the only one. The Marvel President adds:
"Now he’s a kid in Queens with these powers and has other [superheroes] to look to."

Spider-Man In Civil War
Spidey has a vital role in the Civil War comics, but we aren't sure about that in the movie. However, it seems from Kevin's words that Spider-Man appearance in the third installment of Captain America franchise isn't going to be JUST A CAMEO. He states:
“Does he want to be like these other characters? Does he want nothing to do with these other characters? How does that impact his experience, being this grounded but super powerful hero? Those are all the things that Stan Lee and Steve Ditko played with in the first 10 years of his comics, and that now we can play with for the first time in a movie.”
New Villains In Solo Movie
In another interview with Birth Movies Death, Kevin signifies that the upcoming Spider-Man solo will present new villains instead of reverting back to the ones who have already collided… (Continued to Page 3)
(Continued from Page 2)… with him on big-screen. He states:
"Right now we're interested in seeing villains we haven't seen before."
That seems to be a clear indication that you won't get to see Green Goblin this time!
John Hughes Vibe
The Marvel President indicates that the new Spider-Man solo will have strong influences from teen movie king of 1980s and early 1990s John Hughes. Here's what he says:
"Just as we hadn't seen a heist movie in a long time, or a shrinking movie in a long time, we haven't seen a John Hughes movie in a long time. Not that we can make a John Hughes movie – only John Hughes could – but we're inspired by him, and merging that with the superhero genre in a way we haven't done before excites us."
