Marvel Cinematic Universe "“ or in short, the MCU "“ is the most flourished shared comic book universe in Hollywood. Eleven MCU movies have already been released and the twelfth one "“ Ant-Man "“ is set to hit the theaters in less than a month, which will bring an end to their Phase Two slot. The Phase Three kicks off next year with Captain America: Civil War followed by nine more movies.
One of the most special things about this third phase is that it will offer us the first female superhero standalone movie in the MCU "“ Captain Marvel. We have indeed seen female superheroes of enormous importance in the cinematic universe "“ Black Widow and Scarlett Witch "“ but none have had any standalone yet. Better late than never "“ that's what I can say about the progress!
What about the LGBT characters (or LGBTQ characters)? We haven't seen a single one in the MCU yet! But there are around 129 homosexual characters in the Marvel Comics alone, as per Marvel Wikia. Since last week's U.S. Supreme Court ruling that their Constitution vows a right to same-sex marriage has been the hottest topic all around the globe, Marvel President Kevin Feige couldn't escape a query on their plans about introducing LGBT characters in the MCU in a recent interview with Collider.
And Kevin didn't hesitate to say that we will definitely get to see LGBT characters in the MCU, but when? That's what you have to find out in the following segment!
