Spider-Man: Homecoming might be the most anticipated MCU movie of recent years. How could it be otherwise, when it will be the first MCU solo movie for the web-crawler? With the trailer waiting to drop any time now, a new scene description surfaced today, after a clip was previewed at the CCXP event in Brazil. So you don't have to take it with a grain of salt - the small preview clip might well be a part of the trailer to come!
If you don't want to be spoiled (and there will be spoilers), you might want to skip this one.
The brief clip not only reveals the Happy Hogan cameo (marking Jon Favreau's return to the MCU after the divisive Iron Man 3), but also shows that the Spider-Man suit has been upgraded. The actor/director (who has just confirmed that he'll shoot Lion King and Jungle Book 2 back to back) will be the one to deliver Peter Parker an upgraded Spider-Man suit, courtesy of Tony Stark.
And the suit, according to some, bears a resemblance to the Iron Spider suit from the comics. How come? Well, check out the description from Ryan Pengos (Marvel Digital Media):
The Spider-Man: Homecoming footage was short but AWESOME. Starts from Spidey’s POV, talking with Happy Hogan. There’s a case from Tony Stark with an “upgrade” for Spidey. Then we see Spidey leap off a building, open his arms, web wings! There were a few more flashes of shots, but I can’t remember. That classic underarm webbing look was just so rad.
It's safe to say that now everybody wants to see the first trailer for Spider-Man: Homecoming!
