Last month, during an appearance on The Late Late Show with James Corden, Casino star Sharon Stone revealed that she has sealed a deal with Marvel Studios to appear in one of their upcoming movies. She refused to disclose the name of the character she's playing or the movie she's appearing in, due to "confidentiality agreements".
But since she mentioned a couple of times that it's "a wee part", many assumed her mystery Marvel character is Janet van Dyne, aka the original Wasp, and she will appear in Ant-Man and the Wasp. Maybe because Michael Douglas is returning as Hank Pym in the July 6, 2018 release, we were inclined to speculate that the erotic Basic Instinct pair might return as an on-screen couple!
Sad but true, that seems highly unlikely after Sharon Stone's recent interview with AARP! During the interview, the actress confirmed that she is indeed playing "a superhero" in a future Marvel movie. But she also reveals that her character’s "secret power" is "heat". That doesn't sound like the Wasp at all!

Marvel Comics has a number of female superheroes who possess abilities that can be termed as heat. But we aren't sure about who holds the rights to those characters.
Sharon Stone could be portraying an older, experienced Firestar in Spider-Man: Homecoming, and acting as mentor to the titular superhero. The character is a mutant, but has also been a member of the Avengers, like Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver. So Marvel might be able to use the character.
The 58-year-old actress could be playing an alien superhero in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, a sorcerer in Doctor Strange, or someone who has some kind of tie with the Norse Fire Demon Surtur in Thor: Ragnarok. She could be playing Firebird or Crystal, as well!
A dozen Marvel Cinematic Universe Phase Three movies are scheduled for release through 2020, and numerous characters could come into play. So we can't be sure about Stone’s character until we get a stronger clue.
