Even if everybody expected her to cameo in Infinity War, Captain Marvel won't make her big screen debut until next year, in her solo film. This year, the only reference to the superheroine came in the credits scene, after Nick Fury's disintegration.
So, unfortunately, we didn't get to see how Brie Larson looks as Captain Marvel. The pics leaked from the set of the movie didn't connect with the fans. However, the concept art released did. And it is no wonder, given the differences between the leaked photos and the art.
And now, thanks to a new magazine cover, we have another look at the actress as the superheroine. And we must say that we are very pleased about it. Sure, an actual photo would have been better - but it seems we need to wait a bit more to get one:
Captain Marvel was described as the most powerful superhero to enter the Marvel Cinematic Universe. As such, the fans expect for her to tip the balance in favour of the good guys in Avengers 4. Furthermore, given the power displayed by other superheroes (Thor, for example), the fans are also excited to see how high her power levels can get.
As far as the plot of her solo movie is concerned, things are as secretive as one might expect from a Marvel production. What we do know is that Captain Marvel will be an origin story, set in the "˜90's. Furthermore, it is expected for it to delve into the Kree-Skrull war, with concept art revealing the presence of the super-Skrulls.
Brie Larson will be joined by Samuel L. Jackson, Gemma Chan, Lee Pace, Jude Law, Annette Benning, and many others.
Captain Marvel will be released on the 8th of March 2019.
She'll return then two months later, on the 3rd of May, in Avengers 4.
