Hawkeye/Clint Barton was introduced in the first Thor movie. As one of Nick Fury’s best men, he became an Avenger, but that really wasn't enough to endear him to the general audience. In response, he was given a much bigger role in Avengers: Age of Ultron. So where will the Marvel Cinematic Universe take him next?
Photos taken on the Avengers: Infinity War set, and others posted by Jeremy Renner, hinted that Clint Barton will undergo drastic changes when Thanos shows up. The photos apparently indicate that Clint Barton will no longer be Hawkeye. Instead, he’ll become Ronin.
Of course, there’s been no official confirmation, but the pics speak for themselves.
Barton's transformation won’t end there. Infinity War shooting has already wrapped, so Jeremy Renner posted a new pic via Instagram that again teases Hawkeye over Ronin.

In addition to the character's arc, the hashtags attached to the post are most interesting, especially that Infinity Wars hashtag. Might this be a reveal?
When Disney announced its Phase III slate, Avengers Four and Avengers Five were titled Infinity War Parts One and Two. Kevin Feige later dropped the title for the presumably final Avengers flick, which remains untitled.
It makes sense for the final two Avengers movies to be Infinity Wars. As far as we know, Thanos is going to acquire all of the Infinity Stones in 2018, but what will happen after that? It’s safe to assume that it will be the War.
What are your thoughts on this? Will Clint Barton actually become Ronin after tragic life events, find his path, and then revert to his Hawkeye identity?
