James McAvoy wants to return for more after X-Men: Apocalypse

X-Men: Apocalypse is the movie that brings an end to the contracts of actors and actress who joined the franchise with X-Men: First Class back in 2011. That list includes James McAvoy (Charles Xavier), Michael Fassbender (Magneto)Nicholas Hoult (Beast), and Jennifer Lawrence (Mystique).

We don't know if we will see them reprising their roles again after X-Men: Apocalypse. James McAvoy claims that he doesn’t know, either. But the Scottish actor definitely wants to return for more X-Men movies. When asked a recent interview with the French outlet L'internaute (via Comic Book) about returning after the current movie’s release on May 27, he responds, “If they want me to, I'll do more, yeah.”

The 36-year-old actor also addresses the comments his co-star Jennifer Lawrence made. While she had been sharing her frustration for donning the blue paint costume to play Mystique, the actress recently claimed that she is "dying to come back" for more. Here's James McAvoy has to say about such a change of heart of his co-star:

Yeah, I've heard"¦people have said she's not into it, stuff like that. She's always said to me that she would think about it. So yeah, that sounds great. I hope she does, because I love working with Jennifer.

The actor states that they have been "an extended sort of family, in a weird way" for the last six or seven years. They keep returning after almost every two years to shoot for an X-Men movie. And then, after six months or a year, they see each other again as they come to promote the movie. He adds, “I'd be really sad not to see her every couple of years.”
