As we all know, Planet Hulk will be one of the storylines adapted in the upcoming Thor: Ragnarok film. And the key word in here is adapted. Nobody can expect the movie, described as a buddy movie and a road movie, to actually follow the Planet Hulk storyline to the letter. However, some elements will certainly make their way onto the big screen.
And one of those elements is the armor the Hulk wears in the arena. Of course, nobody can expect it to be picked straight out of the comics. However, it is the gladiator armor. Sure, looking at it, it doesn't seem to offer too much protection. But this is the Hulk we’re talking about. How much protection does the strongest hero of the MCU need?
Oh - the weapons! They seem massive! There is no doubt that they will look even bigger on the screens, once the CGI is added. Seeing that the Green Goliath is CGI, it can’t be any other way.

There are quite a few unknowns as far as Thor: Ragnarok is concerned. And one of the biggest is how the Jade Giant ended up on the Battleworld. Did Hela and Loki transport him there? Did the Grandmaster do it? Or was it Thanos, hoping for the Hulk to destroy the most powerful of all Asgardians? It will be a long wait until we find these things out.
This being said, Thor: Ragnarok will also feature some Hulk vs. elements. Nonetheless, this doesn't mean that Marvel shouldn't follow the Planet Hulk storyline adaptation with an even more impressive one. So what if the first movies of Phase IV were to lead into a World War Hulk adaptation?
After Thanos is defeated, maybe Marvel shouldn't hurry to introduce another big cosmic baddie. That way, World War Hulk will be like a much needed breather.
