If initial reactions to Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 2 are any indication, Marvel and Disney have yet another hit on their hands. The James Gunn sequel is already being hailed as one of Marvel's best, guaranteeing that there will be a third installment, as well as an expanded role for the director in shaping the MCU beyond Phase III.
Still, even if some say otherwise, there are plenty of unknowns in regard to this film. But that’s great, because it leaves some mysteries that serve to keep fan anticipation high. One of the mysteries kept by James Gunn and Co. concerns the role played by Michael Rosenbaum (Lex Luthor of Smallville).
During the sequel’s premiere, the actor took the opportunity to talk with Marvel Entertainment on the red carpet and tease his character’s importance (check it out here). As expected, he didn't identify the character, but he did say that there’s a connection between him and Sylvester Stallone's Starhawk:
Well, I'm in the movie, and I can't really say the role I'm playing because James [Gunn] swore me to secrecy. But it's with Stallone, and it's an important role. I'm not allowed to say anything other than that. I can't wait to see it; I haven't seen it, and I've been waiting a year to be able to say something. So it's really exciting; I'm really excited. The fans are awesome. This is incredible. So I'm going to see it for the first time, too. I'm not going to tell you what I look like, either. You're just going to have to see the movie. I don't have to shave my head again, so that's good (via Screen Rant).
What do you think? Are the rumors that Michael Rosenbaum is playing Quasar true?
