Marvel has finally announced that Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. II, scheduled for release on May 5, 2017, has started shooting. Along with this announcement, the studio has also released the first look at the reunited team, featuring Star Lord, Gamora, Drax, and Rocket, as well as baby Groot (he looks so cute on the destroyer's shoulder).

Speaking of baby Groot, Vin Diesel will once again lend his voice to the character - though we don't really know how it will all play out.

Marvel has also announced the cast of the movie. Thus, Chris Pratt will be Star Lord, Zoe Saldana will be Gamora, Dave Bautista will be Drax, while Rocket will be voiced by Bradley Cooper. Besides the team, Guardians of the Galaxy 2 will also see the return of Michael Rooker as Yondu, Karen Gillian as Nebula, Sean Gunn as Kraglin, and Glenn Close as Nova Prime.

But we already knew all of them. The new actors to be featured in Guardians of the Galaxy 2, in undisclosed roles, are Pom Klementieff (rumored to be Mantis), Kurt Russell (rumored to portray Star Lord's father), Elizabeth Debicki, and Chris Sullivan.
