While Marvel keeps all of its projects as secretive as possible, it does throw some bones to its fans - and this time they concern the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. II.
A couple of weeks ago it was rumored that Tommy Flanagan has joined the cast of Guardians of the Galaxy 2. According to that rumor, the actor was supposed to portray one of Yondu's Ravagers. However, Marvel has just announced that the role he will play is the one of Tullk. In the comics, Tullk is one of Ronan's cronies and hasn't appeared in to many comic book issues.
Elizabeth Debicki (The Man from U.N.C.L.E.) is the second actor revealed for Guardians of the Galaxy 2. And this is the most interesting, since the actress will portray Ayesha, who is in the comics the female version of Adam Warlock. It isn't known what role she will have in the plot of the movie - but her existence alone hints that Warlock will be present in Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. II.
The last actor to be revealed by Marvel is Chris Sullivan (The Drop, The Knick), who will portray Taserface. In the comics, he is the member of a villainous race from the future called The Stark (named after the Starks, of course) and he is a cyborg. As suspected, he did appear in the Guardians of the Galaxy comics and he was defeated by Vance Astro (the future leader of the Guardians).
We can certainly assume that Taserface will be one of the villains of the movie and he will come to blows with Star Lord (as opposed to Vance Astro).
For the moment, these are the only announcements made by Marvel. But we can certainly expect for more - including the reveal of the main baddie.
