While there are still a couple of scenes to be filmed for Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. II, director James Gunn and star Chris Pratt took to Facebook to thank and congratulate the entire cast and crew for their work on the movie. Chris Pratt took the opportunity to ask for another round of applause for Chris Pratt, and then revealed that James Gunn has managed to keep the Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. II expenses under budget, and also has shot the entire movie in less time than he was allotted.
And this is something worthy of mention, since some huge blockbusters (especially the comic book movie ones) take a lot more time to shoot and more often than not they go over budget. So hooray! for Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. II and its director!
But the most interesting part came toward the end of the small clip, in which it was confirmed that Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. II will be present at this year's San Diego Comic Con, and that the first footage from the movie will be shown during the event.
James Gunn has previously said that he'd love to be there - so now we guess we can be certain about that.
Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. II's presence at the San Diego Comic Con also marks Marvel’s return to the convention, after they’ve skipped it for several years. And this is pretty interesting, since it could mean a heap of other MCU related news. Doctor Strange and Spider-Man need to be there, while we are also waiting to see which actress will portray Captain Marvel (the rumor is that Brie Larson will be the one).
And let's not forget Thor: Ragnarok!
