Gambit is set to arrive in theaters October 7, 2016. With no plot revealed and with just Channing Tatum cast "“ as Remy LeBeau "“ it seems the movie is a bit behind schedule.

Back in May we heard from Tatum: the script is submitted and Gambit will be an origin story. But that's about all.

Well, if you don't count the rumor that Marvel's Ragin' Cajun will appear in X-Men: Apocalypse, a speculation that only concerns the character and which will bring forward Tatum's version of Gambit a few months earlier (Apocalypse hits theaters May 27).

It seems, however, they're making progress. Slow progress, but progress all the same. The director has finally been found, as Entertainment Weekly reports.
