We’ve come across numerous casting announcements since filming for Deadpool 2 began in June. But apparently, we had no idea that a certain actor has been a part of the cast for some time.
Eddie Marsan, who played Inspector Lestrade in the Sherlock Holmes movies, has disclosed that he’ll appear in the June 1, 2018 release. He shared an on-set photo of his kids and lead actor Ryan Reynolds on Twitter, and captioned it as follows:
The kids visited me at work on #Deadpool 2. Ryan made them feel so special. I’m officially the coolest Dad in the world.

Marsan starred in David Leitch's Atomic Blonde, which arrived in theaters just last month, so the two are having a reunion in the second standalone movie for the Merc with a Mouth. We don't know which character the 49-year-old actor is playing, or whether he’ll be a "douchebag…or a hero" when they release a sexy new Venn diagram for Deadpool 2, similar to the one for its predecessor!
Marsan also appeared in the movies Happy-Go-Lucky, Mission: Impossible III, V for Vendetta, Hancock, War Horse, and The World's End. His notable small-screen credits include Encore's Moby Dick, BBC Two's The Best of Men, BBC One's Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell, and Showtime's Ray Donovan.
Returning Deadpool actors include Morena Baccarin as Vanessa, T.J. Miller as Weasel, Stefan KapiÄić as Colossus, Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead, Leslie Uggams as Blind Al, and Karan Soni as Dopinder. The sequel will introduce Josh Brolin as Cable, Zazie Beetz as Domino, and Jack Kesy as Black Tom Cassidy. Shioli Kutsuna and Julian Dennison have unspecified roles.
