It appears that Doctor Strange won't be the only mystical Marvel superhero to be introduced in his upcoming standalone movie! Jericho Drumm, aka Brother Voodoo, will also appear in the movie, according to That Hashtag Show.
Their latest video suggests that the character will make a very brief cameo in Doctor Strange. However, it also claims that Brother Voodoo will appear in his "full costume" in the November 4, 2016 release. They can't offer any further details, such as how the character finds himself in the movie or who will portray him.
However, they do report about another cameo in Doctor Strange. It's Tina Minoru, who they claim will also appear for a little while in the Scott Derrickson flick. According to the show, both cameos will be more like Easter Eggs.
To be honest, these two cameos don't seem to be very surprising, or anything that hasn’t been the topic of speculation. Earlier this year, a Doctor Strange prequel comic book was released, which featured Tina Minoru and Brother Voodoo's sibling, Daniel Drumm. Both were introduced as Masters of the Mystic Arts, alongside Kaecilius and Wong.
However, these cameos in Doctor Strange definitely offer some exciting possibilities for things to come in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Brother Voodoo, a character created by Len Wein and Gene Colan way back in the 1970s, replaced Doctor Strange as the Sorcerer Supreme more recently in the July 2009 issue The New Avengers #53. Since then, he’s been referred to as Doctor Voodoo.
Tina Minoru may not be that significant a character herself, but she is a founding member of the evil crime organization called The Pride and the mother of Nico Minoru, a leader of the Runaways.
With a Runaways series officially heading to Hulu, Tina's cameo in Doctor Strange could serve as a connection between the movie and the television series.
