Captain Marvel promises to be one of Marvel's most special movies, all the more it's the first female led flick.

It's currently set to come to theaters in early November, 2018. With no cast announced, no director in place and no plot revealed, well, should we wonder if Captain Marvel is in progress?

Maybe they just keep it well under wraps. However, something new emerged about Captain Marvel a couple of days ago.

Captain Marvel eyes Nicole Perlman and Meg LeFauve

The Hollywood Reporter claims Kevin Feige eyes Nicole Perlman and Meg LeFauve. Marvel President wants to put a team in place to pen the script.

But why Nicole Perlman? And why Meg LeFauve? Well, it's obvious - is it? - a woman writing the script for a female-led movie makes sense.

First of all, Nicole Perlman is no stranger to superhero movies. She co-wrote Guardians of the Galaxy (2014) and she's uncredited for Thor (2011).

Interestingly enough, THR claims she is now working on a Gamora's solo movie (yeah, THE Gamora from Guardians of the Galaxy), though other sources indicate a job for the Black Widow.

Meg LeFauve worked on Inside Out (to be released June 19th, this year). Her prize list, however, doesn't include superhero titles. But surely she must bring to the table something Feige was deeply impressed with.

The catch here is the two reported screenwriters will work as a team, not in the well-known DC style, where writers are locked in to compose different scripts, of which only one is eventually elected.

According to THR, this is not, in fact, fresh news. Marvel and the two screenwriters have been reportedly in talks since December. Apparently, one needs more than a good couple of months to sign an agreement with Marvel.

So, if Nicole Perlman and Meg LeFauve sign on, this will be nothing but good news for Captain Marvel fans. "˜Cause then we'll all be able to say the production starts to shape up.
