The solo outing of Carol Danvers, aka Captain Marvel, is scheduled to hit the theaters on the 2nd of November, 2018 - ninth in the list of upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe movies. So, Marvel might not be too rushing into official announcements related to the project right now. They have just confirmed the screenwriters for the movie.
But we have been hearing a good number of rumors already – Angelina Jolie reportedly sought for helming the movie and Charlize Theron being eyed for the titular role (again, reportedly). Actresses like Katheryn Winnick have expressed their interest to play Captain Marvel while fans have made their own different lists of best fits for the role, including one by a colleague of mine.
Now, there's another actress who seems to be excited with the thought of playing Captain Marvel - it is the actress who played Gwen Stacy in Sam Raimi's Spider-Man 3, Bryce Dallas Howard. When a CinemaBlend correspondent told Bryce that she would be a good fit for the role, here's what she says:
"Oh my God, will you write that? Will you write that please? Yes, let's start a campaign now. That would be rad."
Bryce Dallas Howard Loves Marvel Movies!
Actually Jurassic World star is interested to play a part in a Marvel movie and the correspondent made the remark just after she expressed her desire to work with the franchise. According to Bryce, Marvel movies"¦ (Continued to Page 2)
(Continued from Page 1)"¦ are "˜so fantastic' for the "˜incredibly drawn characters' that an actor/actress, while playing the role, falls in love with. She believes that this love for the character carries them "˜from journey to journey to journey'.
Is She A Good Fit For Captain Marvel?
According to the early rumors, Marvel is looking for an actress in her twenties for the role. From that point of view, Bryce Dallas Howard is way too old for Captain Marvel role. However, Charlize Theron is one less than forty right now, and we've heard her name. Bryce is five years younger than her. From that point of view, pretty young! I believe I don't need to be talking about her acting talent, that's something she has proved a good number of times.
