Earlier this year, we came across a rumor that for Captain America: Civil War ending, the Russo Brothers have shot three different death scenes. The three Avengers whose death scene they shot are Anthony Mackie's Falcon, Don Cheadle's War Machine and Elizabeth Olsen's Scarlet Witch. The scoop suggested that only one of those three scenes will make it to the final cut of the May 6 release.
But according to Steve McFeely, one of the two co-writers for Captain America: Civil War, that particular rumor is nothing more than "crap"! While speaking to Uproxx, he says:
No, I saw that on the internet and that's crap. I read, we read we filmed three deaths.
The other co-writer, Christopher Markus adds:
This is very much the movie we've always intended on where we wanted to stand and where we wanted to leave it.
When the interviewer suggests that "That's crap" was a very intense reaction, McFeely repeats the same words, but in a way that it sounds like a potential headline:
That's crap, says Steve McFeely.
Markus, then, jokingly says to his Captain America: Civil War co-writer:
When you google "˜crap,' tomorrow, your name will come up.
Well, the way the writers have responded does suggest that the rumor didn't have any truth behind it. Otherwise, they must have already made sure that the two other ending scenes no longer exist!
