The first Ant-Man movie didn't set any records, but it was still a hit for Marvel. So it was no surprise when a sequel was announced. And after seeing the first flick’s credits scene, it was no surprise to discover that the Wasp (Evangeline Lilly) will appear in the sequel.
This version of Hope van Dyne isn't the first Wasp to appear in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Hope’s mother, Janet van Dyne, was the first. A flashback sequence in Ant-Man revealed that Janet was lost in the Quantum Realm following a failed mission.
Janet van Dyne (Michelle Pfeiffer) will return in 2018’s sequel. The circumstances of her return from the Quantum Realm remain a mystery, but the most recent pics from the set indicate that at least some of her scenes will be flashbacks.
Taken on the set in Savannah, Georgia, the pics also feature Michael Douglas, who will be back as Hank Pym. Click below to see them:

We know very little about the film’s plot. Of course, the internet is full of speculation. According to one theory, the events in Ant-Man and the Wasp will take place shortly after the Civil War. Another online rumor has Hope van Dyne and Hank Pym a bit unhappy about Scott Lang’s involvement in the Civil War. Even so, they’re willing to work with him again.
What are they working on? We don't know, but we assume that it has something to do with Janet van Dyne’s return.
Ant-Man and the Wasp will be the first Marvel movie to follow Avengers: Infinity War. It will be released on July 6, 2018.
