While Wonder Woman doesn't arrive until the 23rd of June 2017, we cannot help to wonder what will happen in that movie. And that is because, unlike the MCU, DCEU takes a much more different approach - instead of building towards an ensemble superhero flick, with solo adventures and origins, it goes the other way around.
So, in a way, when the Wonder Woman movie will be released, her story would have already been started in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. We cannot imagine how that would go on - it will certainly present some sort of backstory for the character, but we don't know in what way exactly.
So let's go with the first news/rumor of the day!
Different timelines for Wonder Woman's solo flick
Of course, you already knew that Wonder Woman will take place sometime during WWII or between the World Wars. And it can be said that this was a pretty on the spot speculation. However, new information has revealed that the movie will actually take place in 2 (or maybe more) different historical time periods.
Thus, the first part of the movie is said to take place during the First World War, when (presumably) Steve Trevor will also be introduced. Afterwards, via flashbacks, some other jumps in the timeline will be made.
However, the finale of Wonder Woman will take place in the modern times. If this seems to you that it mirrors in some way the events of Captain America: The First Avenger, then you are not wrong.
Also, at the moment, it isn't known whether or not the modern age will story will pick up after the events of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. It would be pretty awesome if it didn't and if this part of the Wonder Woman story played more like a prequel to next year's Zack Snyder flick.
On the next page, more about Steve Trevor!
Steve Trevor - when will Wonder Woman meet him?
As said, most likely, Steve Trevor will be introduced in the solo Wonder Woman movie during the First World War. And this will make him a love from the past (which is yet another similarity with The First Avenger). However, there is also another possibility, for him to have an even more minor role, appearing in one of the flashbacks.
As said, there are strong possibilities or Wonder Woman to jump from one historical time period to another. Thus, Steve Trevor may just as well appear in one of these flashbacks, most likely during WWII.
The third possibility comes out straight from the New 52, in which this male character lives in the modern age (thus securing multiple appearances for Chris Pine), in which case the character will be the liaison between the US and Amanda Waller and, of course, Wonder Woman. Which opens up the possibility of ARGUS to be introduced in the DCEU (ARGUS being a Homeland Security type of agency who helps Justice League - cleaning after and providing resources).

Eva Green as Circe
While the principal photography for Wonder Woman was announced to begin this November, we still don't know anything about the villains Diana Prince will have to battle. Nonetheless, the latest rumor concerning the main antagonist says that, in fact, the main antagonist has already been cast.
And this main antagonist is Circe, who is one of the most well-known adversaries of Wonder Woman. For this powerful sorceress who is believed to be immortal, Warner Bros is believed to have already found the perfect actress. And she is none other than Eva Green, seen in movies such as Casino Royale, 300: Rise of an Empire, as well as the acclaimed TV series Penny Dreadful). A perfect casting, if you ask us.
On the next page, the second major secondary figure is revealed!
Sean Bean as Ares
We don't know is Sean Bean dies at the end, but this is also pretty good casting - and, if Wonder Woman will indeed follow the New 52 timeline, we won't see him doing any battle himself. Instead, Sean Bean might just be the father figure for Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman.
So what do you think? Are these casting choices going to be officially announced anytime soon?
