After kicking off production last November in England, the Wonder Woman movie moved to Italy, where it has been filming for a while now. With Gal Gadot portraying Diana Prince, the Patty Jenkins flick features Chris Pine as Steve Trevor, Connie Nielsen as Queen Hippolyta, Lucy Davis as Etta Candy, Robin Wright as General Antiope and Lisa Loven Kongsli as Menalippe. Danny Houston, Elena Anaya, David Thewlis, Ewen Bremner, and Saïd Taghmaoui are also in the movie, but their roles are still unspecified.
Now, we’re sure about another name’s inclusion on the movie's cast roster. Doutzen Kroes, the model who became an Angel for Victoria's Secret back in 2008, has joined the movie. The confirmation comes from Gal Gadot and Connie Nielsen via their official social media accounts. The actresses have each shared a group photo captured during a meal. These photos feature Doutzen Kroes. Here are the photos for you!
Gal and Connie haven't mentioned exactly what role the Dutch model will play in the June 2, 2017 release. But in the photos’ captions, they used the words "Amazonianhood" and "family of Amazons". That strongly indicates that Doutzen will be playing one of the Amazons of Themyscira.
Doutzen Kroes has been one of the world’s highest-paid models since 2008. She's also served as a brand ambassador and spokesperson for L’Oréal Paris for more than five years. The 31-year-old model made her acting debut back in 2011 with Reinout Oerlemans' Nova Zembla. The historical drama was the first Dutch 3D feature film. Wonder Woman will be her first Hollywood venture.
Earlier this month, Doutzen shared a "Warrior mode" photo via her social media accounts. Maybe that was a tease about her involvement in the Wonder Woman movie. We couldn't relate it at that moment! Check it out below!
