Last week, Warner Bros. invited several journalists to visit the London set of Justice League. Later, the journalists announced that a major reveal is scheduled for Thursday (June 23). And this may come as a surprise, especially since the San Diego Comic Con is just around the corner (July 21 through 24). So what could this reveal be?
The least interesting possibility is that they’ll release a couple of interviews from the set. Like any other major studio, Warner Bros. knows that this is the most facile way to promote a movie, even before shooting has ended. However, given the debacle called Batman v Superman, the studio should also know that it needs to do much more than have a couple of actors not saying anything about a flick.
The most interesting possibility concerns Warner Bros. releasing the first pics with the Justice League. Whether character pictures or a shot of the entire Justice League, it is all the same. Warner Bros. might win some fans back, just in time for the release of the Suicide Squad.
So will this be it?
Of course, there is also another possibility, an even more exciting one. The big reveal Warner Bros. has prepared could concern just one League member. Reportedly, some lucky journalists have already seen the first Wonder Woman trailer. So will it be released on Thursday?
Least likely. As we mentioned, Comic Con is just around the corner, and we believe that Warner Bros. will present just Wonder Woman and Suicide Squad (as far as superhero films are concerned). So it makes no sense at all.
Nonetheless, it is good to see that the Warner Bros. marketing campaign is still going strong.
Hopefully, its DC movies will get better as well.
