Natalie Portman Open to a V for Vendetta Sequel!

Natalie Portman would be open to returning in a potential V for Vendetta sequel!

Natalie Portman is apparently reluctant to reprise her Jane Foster role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but she would be more than willing to return as Evey Hammond in a V for Vendetta sequel.

It's been almost five years since Portman played Thor's astrophysicist love interest. The Russo Brothers have been reluctant to say whether she succumbed during the final moments of Avengers: Infinity War. Are they trying to avoid spoiling a future film?

Portman intimated in 2016 that she was done with the role. Her lack of interest in continuing as Jane wasn’t a major surprise, since Marvel had made her nothing short of a damsel in distress. But when asked during a recent BuzzFeed Q&A session which of her past roles she’d like to play again, Portman showed much greater interest in Evey Hammond, her comic book movie character from the big-screen adaptation of the 1980s graphic novel by Alan Moore and David Lloyd:

That's a good question! Maybe V for Vendetta?

Critical reaction to the V for Vendetta movie was positive, and it more than doubled its budget at the box office, so we’re surprised that we haven’t seen a sequel in the decade since it was released. We heard in 2017 that British network Channel 4 had a small-screen adaptation in the works, but we’re still waiting for additional news on that, too.
